For some time now I've been experimenting with the concept of an edc fixed blade as a sturdy and handy companion to an ever present multi tool. After trying many blades and carry methods my search is over. TOPS created something special here. It's got an uncommon balance of exceptional cutting ability, sturdy construction, compact size, comfort and visual aesthetics. It's sold as a neck knife but I prefer to carry it horizontally on my belt just to the left of the buckle, cross draw. This is easily done by forming two belt loops with heavy duty zip ties put through two of the provided eyelets in the index sheath. The sheath has very secure retention so there is no fear of it coming out accidentally. It would be great if a factory belt carry option was provided. The knife itself is very nicely made. The grind is even and it came shaving sharp out of the box. I'm a big fan of convex grinds on hard working knives so the scandi / convex hybrid grind is just fine with me. It holds an edge well and slices like a freakin laser beam. I have large hands but the three finger grip is still very comfy and secure. The addition of a short 550 cord pinky lanyard made it even better. The red grip spacers add a nice touch of class. Overall one great knife. My search is over, this is my idea of the perfect edc fixed blade.
