I started having issues with my 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo overheating. I changed out my Radiator about a year ago thanks to a crack, and recently changed the thermostat out but it would still overheat if it sat idle at all. Especially with the AC on. Since this is the vehicle my spouse and daughter drive around in I had to find out what was going on. Basically the existing electric fan stopped working. So I found a few forums that recommended a mechanical upgrade and this was one of the parts listed along with the Hayden Automotive 2787 Premium Fan Clutch. It was a trick getting it installed as you have to put each piece down in the shroud then bolt them together, THEN install on the shaft but it works well, no more overheating issues.
