Love my felcoAfter 12 wonderful years with my F2, I decided to treat myself to the F11. I had changed the blade on the F2 and it didn't have the same perfect balance afterwards - maybe I need to change the spring or tighten/loosen the bolts a bit. Anyway, I talked myself into getting the F11 on the understanding that it was the same as the F2 but you could change both the blade and the anvil. To my surprise, the F11 is more different than I was expecting. If you look at the pictures, the aluminum on the F11 slims down to accommodate the replaceable anvil. The thumb catch, which was so perfectly positioned, is sunken and less easily accessible. So I have some misgivings about switching to the F11 that I thought I would share but my hope is that I will get used to it and love it as much as I loved my F2.I have plenty of (made in China) cheap lawn tools and get frustrated every time I use them they fall apart quick and chew not cut. While I haven’t had these long you can feel that they are sturdy and will last forever also they cut great!I have been using Felco clippers as a professional florist for over 30 hrs and they are the best on the market!! My last pair lasted 25 years without sharpening! These newly designed Felco11’s are the best I’ve used. They have a new ergonomic feature that I appreciate and it makes the clippers easier to use when they are in your hands for over 10 hrs a day.Very sharp, smooth operation with effortless cutting. Highly recommended. While these shears work just fine, I don't see any advantage in quality or use from my old, lost Fiskers. They are ok, but I don't think they are worth a premium price. It was a little pricey but should last for long time and comfortable to useThis FELCO Secateurs (Large) is strong and very sharp. It has retained it’s cutting ability extremely well. It is very robust. I have used it to prune all manner of shrubs. It is easy to hold and use with bare hands, however it is not so easy to use with gloved hands, because it’s handles are covered in smooth plastic, and it is therefore difficult to retain one’s grip on it.Not cheap, but as soon as you use these secateurs, that old adage "You get what you pay for" rings true. They handle comfortably and easily; the safety catch is secure and straightforward to operate; and as for cutting - well, they are easily the most effective secateurs I have ever come across. the blade is strong and very sharp, and makes clean cuts through thick stems with not a hint of trouble.I very much like the philosophy behind the design that these secateurs are intended to be maintained. The provision of a comprehensive replacement parts list speaks for itself.I have a couple of rules about tools that I've developed for myself, I'll share one here, don't buy crap. Most expensive doesn't equate best, but do your homework and buy good quality, it will cost you less in the long run.I looked in few stores for a good secateur but only found the low quality Chinese stuff. I then searched online for a pruner and found this Swiss pruner. It is great, cuts like through butter and of good solid quality. I am sure I will still have and use it in 10 years whereas the Chinese stuff ends up in the bin after 6 months.Good secateurs and great that you can get spare parts if needed to extend their life ( less landfill!). I didn't give them a 5 as I don't agree they're sharper or better than any other secateurs out there at that price range. They are the same as the other decent pair I have. These, although on the pricey side, are wonderful secateurs. Was working along with professional gardener when my old ones broke after many years service and he recommended this make highly. I am very pleased with them so far. It's a case of "you get what you pay for"
