This is an elementary level apparatus, that will actually provide the basic functions of revitalizing saw blades, and whatever other innovative applications that may arise. It takes a bit of three-handed agility to get it set up. And, I find it is a little flimsy for highly accurate machining. But, the basics are there.Besides setting your table up with a diamond blade to freehand sharpen blades, this does offer a separate sharpening station station that will work as efficiently.I did push the Lock in Place mechanism aside. It was more of a nuisance than a usable feature. This Grinder will actually make the cutting tips sharper. Nothing to write home about, but it keeps from just throwing aways a pile of dull blades. And Yes, I still send out my more expensive blades. You can only go so cheap, until you go out of business. This blade sharpener is a $90 IQ test. It takes some mechanical prowess to set-up properly. Like others have stated I would suggest sending out your expensive blades for professional sharpening. This sharpener is great for breathing life into the cheap blades I use for cutting down re-claimed stock. A few of my blades were smoke monsters and I was able to turn them into blades that can chew thru 3" thick barnwood. It pays for itself pretty quickly for anyone cutting into dodgy wood.YouTube presents several "how to use" this or the exact duplicate Harbor Freight machine. User skill level is very important to determine the face angle setting (like camber) of every other tooth. The factory indexing design is very poor, better to manually set each tooth and develop a rhythm skill. After sharpening several carbide tipped blades, I am very pleased with the clean resurfaced tooth's cutting edge. I did mark every other tooth with a marking pen to sharpen on the positive angle and the flip the blade to sharpen the alternating teeth with a negative angle. Overall, it would get 5 stars but the factory indexing is awful. For the money you can't expect much. For the money I think it's fine. It's on the flimsy side and the setting aren't very easily repeatable. I have sharpened several 7 1/2 in blades and a few 10 inch blades and it works fine. I wouldn't attempt to sharpen my expensive blades but for the cheaper ones it's fine. If I had to do it over I would buy it again. I think a lot of the negative feed back is from people who expect it to preform like a several hundred dollar machine, it's not and it doesn't.Llegó puntual, buen empaque, el equipo es de regular calidad, estoy pensando en agregarle una estructura adicional que le dé mayor estabilidad. Costo/beneficio muy bueno. Lo volvería a comprar. If you are a patient person, and willing to take the time to spend tinkering with this machine, then BUY IT.Considering that it cost me well over $100.00 to have some of my carbide blades sharpened at a professionalsharpening store, this thing has saved me a bunch. I have sharpened several blades both RIP and Crosscut10" blades with VERY GOOD RESULTS. Just remember, it does not work effectively right out of the box, youhave to tinker with it quite a bit in order to achieve good results. The sharpener was a lot quieter than I expected, with little vibration. It works well, but setup, for me, was very time consuming. Changing from one size blade to the next is quite difficult; especially to the larger blades. No markings for distance, or angle to reproduce set up once changed. My 16 year old put this together after watching youtube videos and was sharpening a whole lot of old, dull blades. The instructions provided are not very useful so youtube videos are better. Glad to say that sharpened blades cut efficiently. No more smoke.Too much play in the moving parts, impossible to accurately set up
