The tool works just fine -- not much to say in that department.However, since most of the diamonds are located on the sides of the cutting wheel/blade, the cutter has a tendency to wander sideways (derail from the desired cutting line). This is prevalent if you try to cut to max depth. For deep cuts I recommend starting with a "tracking grove", about a 1/4 inch deep cut while controlling the cutter carefully to keep the blade on course. Then increase the depth of the cut about 1/4 inch at a time. The tracking groove will then help keep the blae on course.This tool takes some getting used t.Also, tight fitting goggles or safety glasses, hearing protectio, and a breathing mask are a MUST. If you have a nice wrist watch and/or glasses, take them off, since this tool produces a lot of very fine stone dust that penetrates everything. Use the tool only outdoors if possible, and with the wind in your back.
